Day 2 - Manly

Bit of a chill day today, to finally get rid of the last of the jetlag.

I rocked up to Manly today (so manly... grrrr) on the ferry from circular quay.

 <--- Proof... kinda.

And took the mandatory pictures...

Didn't really get up to much.. just wondered around the beach and parks and stuff. It was so gorgeous though, its the sorta place I'd love to live.

After sitting around for a few hours enjoying the sights ( I particularly liked looking at the sights in shorts and wetsuits. Jeezus these people are beautiful!) I headed back to Sydney for lunch and a coffee by the harbor before having a nap (rock n roll).

Oh, and i made a friend...

Day 1 - Sydney

Eugh! Such a long day.
After a day of traveling (where, in Dubai, I was mistaken for my dad's wife???) we finally arrive in Sydney. at 6am.

Since we rocked up so early there was no rooms, surprise surprise, so we had to wonder around this beautiful city all gross from the flight. Come get me ladies ;)
The hotel is in the business district which means it is surrounded by these absolutely HUGE buildings and the streets are lined with amazing desginer labels and beautiful people.
Went to a Westfields for breakfast and it was just unreal how big these shopping centers were and everything was just so clean and pretty. It was the complete opposite of London basically.
Oh, and the crossings make the MOST hilarious noises  Bwuuuup chugga chugga chugga chugga chugga. Cannot help but laugh every time i pass one. I am too cool. Obviously.

Bored, we went to Hyde Park which is just drop dead gorgeous. For it supposedly being "winter" it was really quite hot and it was full of flowers and trees and really weird birds (need to get a picture of them really). It is bordered by this amazing cathedral or something, which i need to check out before i leave here.

After getting my room (which has a window between my bedroom and bathroom??) and swiftly passing out for the rest of the day i went for a wonder down to the harbor and it was just unbelievable, a 5 minute walk from my hotel goes from huge skyscrapers to this beautiful, simple little harbor with two of the most iconic structures there. It is just mental to look at. I don't think i have actually processed that i am actually here yet.
I went for a pint at the opera house (obligatory) which was a "dirty granny"... which was lush. But yeah, it was just mental seeing all this stuff for myself rather than through a picture. Crazy.

No pictures today as i forgot my camera (such a twat) but deffo bringing it along tomorrow as i am off to Manly on the ferry n shit.
Excellent.
